North America is a land of various landscapes that span from the Arctic in the north to Central America. On the west is the Pacific Ocean and on the east is the Atlantic Ocean.

The wildlife of North America is very diverse and includes animals such as raccoon, skunk, sandhill crane, North American porcupine, gray fox, fox squirrels, fisher, turkeys, chipmunks, grizzly bears, nene geese, cougar, bobcat, lynx, alligator, wolf, black bear, coyote, coatimundi, prairie dog town, whitetail deer, owl, and bald eagle.

South American animals are unique in their own ways. The diversity of climate and vegetation in South America account for the unusual animals of South America. The amazing rain forests of the Amazon Basin, the dry Atacama Desert in Chile and the snow capped mountain peaks and volcanoes of the Andes abound with interesting animals.

The animals in South America range from mammals to reptiles, from amphibians to rodents. The uniqueness of South America animals is due to their adaptation to their surroundings. Australia has more than 378 mammal species, 828 bird species, 4000 fish species, 300 species of lizards, 140 snake species, two crocodile species and around 50 types of marine mammal.

More than 80 per cent of our plants, mammals, reptiles and frogs are unique to Australia and are found no-where else. Take our Australia trail and see some of our best-known animals such as the kangaroo, wallaby, kookaburra, parakeet encounter, eclectus parrot, masked lap wings and emu.
